Like most teenagers, Mary Ashton looks forward to her eighteenth birthday, but unlike her young counterparts, her upcoming birthday promises more than coming of age; it provides her with an ultimatum that will forever change the course of her life.

During a mishap aboard a yacht, Mary is catapulted into the sea and far away from the ordinary world. The outside world believes she’s drowned, but deep beneath the sea, she finds herself emerged in a magical world, where she’s transformed into a mermaid and can live a life she could once only dream of.

Soon, she’s forced to choose between the world she’s known her whole life or a magical world filled with wonder and exciting new experiences. Will she leave her loved ones behind to live a life full of adventure in the sea?
